Since I've recently taken a liking to my nostalgia about the 2000s - early 2010s with the customization of my desktop I've also started playing older games that I used to play on those years (plants vs zombies, minecraft, etc.) however those are games I've already played countless times, even the past decade and the past 5 years, so I'm searching for recommendations about any game for pc from those years, It would be nice to find a "new old game" (a good classic that I didn't know about) to add to my library.
I'd recommend the Persona games, specifically 3 and 4 (although I haven't played the latter). I know that 3 definitely fits the "2000s vibe", and I'd assume 4 does since it only came out 2 years later.
Half-Life 2 is a game that I love playing on my XP desktop, Doom 3 would be good as well. If you're into racing games I recommend Need For Speed Most Wanted or Underground 2 and Colin McRae Rally 2.0. Random game recommendations I have. Halo CE, Portal, Crysis (If your PC can run it xD), Bioshock, GTA VC, Command and Conquer, Resident Evil 4, and Insaniquarium.

Are you only looking for PC games, or console games are okay too ?
About PC, I didn't play to a lot of PC games, but The Sims 2 is a really good 2000s PC game, maybe Bejeweled too ? I also remember playing the Desperate Housewife PC game with my grandma when I was kid on Windows XP (yeah my grandma liked playing simulation games on PC !), and from my memories it's a Sims-clone game, but super fun to play too, with more detailed graphics
If you're also looking for console games, let me know too
i highly recommend the first 3 stalker games, loved those games all my life and still regularly revisit. they are kinda janky but the jankyness gives them so much charm. and their worlds are always active with stuff going on in the background while you play in totally different areas it feels very alive. Seconding Sims 2 Ultimate Collection, but I'd also suggest Sims 3 as well since it has that nice aero-like UI. Downloading Flashpoint would be a good idea too!
