I personally would never be able to decide on the best movie or book, but I always wanted to see what movie is the best for someone and why. I tried se7en because a friend said it was his fav and I can say it was a wonderful movie, really good acting and interesting plot. So which are yours?
My favourite movies are of course, old Jackie Chan flicks. I'll pick one from every decade (ending at the 2000s)
Snake in Eagle's Shadow (1978) - A Karate Kid-esque story with Jackie and "the old guy" from Drunken Master. The film that made him famous in HK and was choreographed by the same man who choreographed the Matrix.
Project A (1983) - A pirate action-comedy with Chan, Hung and Biao. (directed, written by and starring Chan). Not my favourite since I like "Police Story" better but it was the first JC movie i ever watched so it sticks with me (could be because I've watched it 9 times)
Supercop (1992) - My favourite Jackie Chan movie that was not directed by Jackie Chan (lol). The sequel to Police Story 1&2.
As for books I am a big fan of morris gleitzman's work. morrisgleitzman.com

My favorite movies are the Lord of the Rings trilogy. Perfect music, good actors, and amazing story. I know it's not 100% accurate to the books however.
