Android Jellybean 4.3
In my opinion, phone UI peaked with Android's Jellybean 4.3. And it's not just nostalgia, I think the UI for that version of android was a good mix between minimalism and skeuomorphism.

Re: Android Jellybean 4.3
i personally prefer ios 5 or ios 6 since postmorphism on a phone looks kinda weird to me
however it is iconic for sure & i can see why someone would like it

Re: Android Jellybean 4.3
The only experience with android back in the day that I clearly remember was the early 2010s Samsung UIs (touchwiz?). I didn't pay attention to the UIs as much back then but I preferred iOS back then as it wasn't as laggy.lakes wrote: Sun Nov 23, 2025 8:29 pmi personally prefer ios 5 or ios 6 since postmorphism on a phone looks kinda weird to me

Is that what that whole thing was called? I really love it, looking back on it. Though I mostly associate it with tablets and other larger-screened devices cause I was too young to have a phone back then.

Oh gosh, I absolutely LOVED 4.0-4.4, Had a buncha tablets with that back in the day, And now my phone is entirely themed to 4.X.
You're right, Peakest UI ever. It felt so nice 'n snappy while looking amazing to, I may be a bit biased tho.
