Rejecting art/design commissons
Recently I was approached with a company that started with a "J" for me to redesign their website to be more frutiger aero. I was initially intrigued, but asked them who they are. Unfortunately, it turned out to be one of countless AI... "chatbot" sites.
Warning: Descriptions may be NSFW, but no NSFW imagery: https://files.catbox.moe/1kh5dy.jpg
Needless to say, I rejected the offer. They tried to convince me with the site's popularity and that the use of AI isn't "bad" or whatever, but I didn't know how to respond, and forgot about it. (I didn't see the NSFW until after I rejected them) Just today they reached out offering a full-time job. NO THANKS.
Does anyone else have similar stories?

Re: Rejecting art/design commissons
OF COURSE ALL THE AI CHATBOTS ARE ADVERTISED AS BEING YOUR FUTURE "BOYFRIEND/GIRLFRIEND!!"
That's so manipulative and shitty.
Edit: Forgot to answer the question. Every time I apply for a remote job lately, it ends up being a scam. I remember I almost took this job before finding out they wanted my bank information.

Re: Rejecting art/design commissons
two things:
1. I FREAKING HATE AI CHATBOTS. they are inherently anti-human. the thing that makes humanity special is its social bonds, and talking with a chatbot can never replicate that feeling
2. yes, i’ve rejected customers in my animated music video business before. the most common factors are: undercharging, last-minute deadlines, hateful lyrics, NSFW content, and AI audio. or rarely, asking for 3D animation, which i can’t do

Geez these AI chat bots man... I wouldn't be caught dead chatting with ones like these. At least make it Cirno from TouHou or something... But yeah I would've totally turned this down.

i won't judge you for using itliamphonix133 wrote: Sun Dec 14, 2025 2:24 ami would say that i used c.ai as a coping method but i won't do it because otherwise i will end up being the main meal of the forum's dinner
but overreliance on AI can damage your critical thinking skills on top of being extra bad for the environment and really invasive
so i'd say be careful with them
