I didn't know what Frutiger Aero was until an hour ago and it pretty much describes everything I've associated with my own nostalgia of the 2000's that I couldn't describe with words.
My name is PartialBarre and I am a 24 year old who loves gaming (Deus Ex and Ocarina of Time are my favorites), writing, edgy animes from the 2000's, food, and of course meeting new people!
Like many others, the internet used to hold a solid place in my heart when I was growing up as it provided me with a sense of joy and wonder that regular life didn't offer me. Many of my most cherished moments came from making friends from different parts of world and both learning as well as sharing all our different interest while diving in a sea of content that offered a wide range of experiences imaginable.
While the past and internet itself had many issues, I think that the heavy corporatization and consolidation of today's internet truly killed a culture that used to bring comfort and joy to a whole generation and I cannot help but feel sad that these types memories that myself and probably everyone in this forum had can't really be experienced anymore as all life seems to have been sucked from it. I think the same applies similarly to games and media in general as almost everything that used to be creative and passionate have been replaced by cold products made solely to suck away our cash or our own data for the sake of greed.
There are a lot of negative things to say about the present which is why I genuinely think it's absolutely amazing that people are trying to bring a semblance of the positive side of the past onto the present. Seeing such a website definitively brought some joy onto my day and I think it couldn't have happened at a better time as I cannot help but feel that we're living in an era where people are more disconnected than ever despite the technology being capable of doing the exact opposite. I truly respect whoever created this website and I definitively look forward to interact with those who shares the same and help this community grow!
