Keitais and i-appli

Post by MetalJack98 »

So back in the 2000's, Japan was really obsessed with these flip phones that ran a mobile service called i-mode, which was way faster than WAP mobile services. And a TON of games and apps were made for this service, such as Final Fantasy games, Devil May Cry games, Dragon Quest gamesn, Evangelion games, and many many others, that have now pretty much become lost media. I was a little active in the community during a time, they do a real amazing job ! There're a lot of fascinating topics about Keitai, mostly the FOMA ones (decomes, machi-chara, exclusive i-mode games etc). The only reproach I have is their Discord server is not really welcoming, when you try to contribute to a subject/asking some help about a subject, they can be quite cold and condescending, not really great to bring other people to help for the project, but that's my personal experience with the Keitai community

Really? I've had really friendly interactions with them. Maybe this was a while ago and things changed since. You should consider giving it another chance if you'd like to.
