GNOME windows in Cinnamon

Unread post by Vaking Voda »

I have a GTK theme set and a Qt theme set, and yet GNOME windows from programs still look like this: (Attachment)
Know any way to customize GNOME windows?

It's the same for me on XFCE. It used to automatically match my theme. However after I updated to Linux Mint 23, it just defaulted to a flat rounded theme. That said, me setting my apps to prioritize dark mode changed the GNOME programs to dark mode even when I had a light theme. So I think it's prioritizing people's dark/light mode preferences over the current theme.

I skipped LMC 22.1 since Cinnamon actually removed some features in it, almost as if a Microsoft employee started working on Cinnamon, yet the removed features are still gone in 22.2. :(
How are you in Linux Mint 23? I don't think it exists yet.

When I was using Linux Mint 22, GNOME windows only stayed blue, so at least they're now taking my accent color.
When I get the chance, I'm switching to Arch Linux with AeroThemePlasma. :|

Okay I went to Desktop Settings and changed it to "let Applications decide" and now the calculator app matches my theme at least.

No I was wrong again. It was 22.2. I don't know why I'm out of it today. It's not just this. I deleted my 1st panel by mistake when configuring it. And I had to remake it and was scrambling to readd the status tray plugin to the new Panel 1 before finding a thread saying I needed to delete a folder and then log out before readding it.
