about a year back i took a course on comics and how they do storytelling and our final assignment was to do a presentation on any comic we wanted, and one of the suggested formats was a website, so i was like screw it i know a little html and how to mess with templates how hard could it be!
and thus tsywtproject.neocities.org was borned. i should have probably leaned more into the frutiger aero vibes with the way the art of the manga is but i didnt feel like editing the template more than i needed to lololololol. i spent like 45 minutes at one point on call with 2 other people trying to figure out how to right align images on the characters page it was Bad. but now i know how to use float. but i think i leaned sufficiently into the old internet vibes?
entire story spoilers for The best yuri manga ever (the summer you were there) so go read it and also there are several content warnings on the firs tpage which i suggest you heed bc the story does get heavy but its peak. i ended up getting a 75/60 for the assignment which is my ultimate flex
This site contains extensive discussion of matters such as suicidal ideation, terminal illness, bullying, ableism, and struggles with mental illness. Please stay safe!
I gotta say I really liked this story. I do also wanna mention to please be mindful of the content in it. While there is nothing explicit graphically shown or anything like that, it does touch on heavy topics like suicide and others. I appreciate the warning too, just be very careful with what you post.

crap, sorry, i should have been clearer with the warning tbh - added the one from the site onto the post as well so you see it before even going onto the site (totally get not wanting that stuff just waving around though so if the topic needs to be taken down i totally understand!)
thank you so much! despite the dark content it is one of my favorite stories so i wanted to do it justice. i really oughta try my hand at doing another neocities site sometime so this isn't the only one i have to show

If you have a supporter account you can register multiple sites to your account and other perks too. If it's something you're interested in check it out sometime.
Here's the thing. In my opinion, the Supporter plan is absolute bollocks and practically misleading in a way for the average consumer as they give you /false/ information to convince you to use their service. Not only that, even if you pay a premium for that said service you're still missing out on several features like the ability to serve dynamic pages on PHP and Perl which you can't obviously do on Neocities. That and the fact that it only offers 50 gigabytes of storage and 3TB of bandwidth, which is practically shameful. Most providers nowadays operate on a 'fair-use' unlimited bandwidth plan where they'll just limit you if you go over a certain amount |per day|, let that sink in.
This is one good example of their scummy practices. 50 gigabytes of storage and some spare bandwidth isn't gonna cost you 700 bucks. Let's admit it, they /can/ do better.
