2000s gaming in the modern day

I'm talking Nintendo WFC, Original Xbox Live, PS2 online, heck even DreamCast and Game Cube online. Its THE best gaming experience I have ever had in MMOs as a whole, especially in comparison to modern MMO games. (And just modern games as a whole.) And to this day, many can still be played online again. How? Come ask me. I'll tell ya!

Well, as for the Nintendo Wii (And the DS to an extent), at the very least, fans have made a fan-made online service called WiiLink24 and Wiimmfi. Pretty impressive stuff if you ask me. Not sure about PlayStation and Xbox, but yeah.

Basically, is the servers have shut down, fans usually come to revive em'.

im currently (attempting) to collect all the stuff i need to make a dreamcast dialup spoofer.... i only need a phone cord and the usb modem for it but usb modems are like 30 freaking dollars!!!!!!!!! i know nobody really plays pso on the dc anymore but i at least wanna check it out. they also do weekly game nights for dc games as well. i need more places to store discs lmao

ofc i also have wiilink and pretendo set up on my wii and 3ds. quintessential. i love having wii room just on in the background sometimes... its so comforting and so completely 2009. having the whole family's miis sat around the table makes me sad now that everyones grown up and gone though :')

I'm aware of some sort of XBL revival for the Original Xbox called Insignia... I've tried it and I think it's as accurate as it gets. I don't have the URL with me but I think it can easily be found

Tribes: Aerial Assault for PS2 was made freeware a while back so at least it can be played online now: tribesaerialassault.com/

Did anyone play PS2 games online back in the day? SOCOM is another big one, but I really have no idea what was popular. Heck, I'm not even really familiar with what PS2 games had online capability.
