I recommend you get Betacraft as a easy launcher which fixes skins and some bugs, or Prism Launcher with the Betacraft LegacyFix applied on your beta instance for the same effect but also with the option to add instances with newer versions, easily add mods, etc (which is what I use).

I started playing yesterday on the server and something really funny happened due to my pc lagging a lot cause i had too much stuff open.
I was somehow able to see caves that were below me. I tried to mess around with Minecraft's settings to fix it, but I only made it worse and I couldn't see caves anymore, but I could see entities. There were your typical aggresive mobs like zombies and skeletons and whatnot, but for some reason there were also pigs. Somehow, the pigs didn't have a name tag when I pressed F3. So I guess my copy of Minecraft is haunted by Herobrine or something... Reopening the game fixed the problem
