What speakers/headphones do you have? What other audio devices do you use (DAC/AMP, audio player, etc.)?
Here's mine:
Speakers: Cheap HP stereo speakers from 2007 with a "boxy" sound and a crackling left speaker.
Earphones: KZ ZSN Pro X from 2021. These were my first "good" earphones, but they had treble issues so I later upgraded to Moondrop Chu II when one of the connectors broke. Lost the Chu IIs during HS graduation, had to use parts of my sister's old pair to fix my KZs.
Audio players: AIMP on Samsung A32 5G and HP Omnibook X 14"
I do have some records I found that were going to be thrown out but I don't own a record player, and I borrow my sister's cheap Victrola player if I want to listen to the records..
My speakers are the built in iMac 2017 speakers and my earphones are the Sony MDR-E9LPL Blue! They remind me a bit of Frutiger Aero considering they were from 2010 and.. transparent and blue

Wow they're beautiful ! Love the transparent blue plastic color

Will also share my audio equipment on this thread later today (when more free time ahah)
(used images from internet here, I'll take pictures myself of them this week-end I think, and adding the pics here after)
About headphones, I use a Sony WH-CH720N, it has bluetooth, can also be used wired, and noise reduction. I got it since almost 2 years now, and I love this headphone ! Very comfortable to wear, and approved glasses-friendly (it doesn't hurt to wear it with glasses at the same time)
About music player, I use a Sony Walkman NW-A46NH, I bought it in second-hand on Mercari JP one year ago, and I love so much this music player ! Incredible sound quality, has digital and physical buttons, compatible bluetooth, got SensMe Channel function etc. I use it almost everyday, it's my best friend lmao (unfortunately it starts to get few dead pixels on a corner of the screen since few days, but still work perfectly fine)
I also got the IER-NW500N earphones with it, I'm normally not a fan of earphones (I prefer using headphones), but these ones are surprisingly comfortable, they also got a noise reduction option, who can be controlled directly via the music player. I use them when I can't take my headphones with me
And about speakers, I have a Divoom Ditoo music speakers. I'm more using it as a decoration object, but I like its sound quality too (and the pixel arts are super fun and cute)

I used to have a music player in early 2021, it was a Ruizu branded nugget with a skeuomorphic looking UI. Unfortunately it didn't last long when my brother dropped it, causing the front to break away from the rest, and the ribbon cable connecting the halves to break.
I'm going thrifting this weekend, so I'll see if I can find any audio upgrades...
xrossmediabar wrote:Would love to get one of Sony's modern walkmans but they're so expensive so I'm just asking for an iPod Touch 4
Yeah the recent Walkman models are so expensive, and honestly they don't seem to get more options compared to the previous models this one is from 2017 if I remember correctly, and I bought it for around 50 euro (around 58 in USD), it's a little expensive but it's a good deal imo
I have a pair of Cosair headphones that are falling apart. I also switched to using to Audacious and Amarok as desktop audio players before switching back to AIMP. But depending if audio issues continue I might go back to Audacious, since the current version of AIMP is still in development (I'm using the alpha version). For earbuds, I use noise-cancelling Jabra bluetooth earphones.
