The issue with generative AI (LLMS are a different little topic) is that they're prone to being trained on art without consent along with being significantly more resource intensive than the text based alternative. Unlike LLMs, they're not very energy efficient and have few to no carbon neutral infrastructure while providing something that doesn't really bring real value.
Not to mention the modern dependence on AI in education. I have seen students using AI on, for example, basic algebra, projects, and homework instead of just doing it themself. And it's not just the students, teachers rely on it as well. From my observations, teachers use AI for creating assignments and grading (mostly writing assignments) which is just atrocious, especially when their syllabus explicitly states not to use AI.
ai "art" has only been used to scam people, spams websites with garbage in order to turn a profit, takes away jobs, and ruins culture. it only exists because of shareholders who have zero understanding of the human experience outside of making things as profitable for companies as humanly possible. now people with zero talent or understanding of what makes art great can barf out nonsense images faster than artists can create. one of the main reasons i left r/frutigeraero was because annoying posers would spam the forum with ai generated slop with the sole intention of going "WAOH! SO AESTHETIC!!!11" without going out of their way to appreciate the artists who take countless hours, days, and weeks to make something to show to the world that they're actually passionate about something. they're just mindless consumers that see something popular and hop onto the trend to abuse it and move onto the next shinny buzzword, aesthetic, or thing. what ai art shows everybody is NOTHING. it doesnt represent ANYTHING besides the need for the rich elites to screw over hard working individuals. that's why i hate ai art. we didnt need it back when we were making good quality online content and we don't need it now.
There is a place for Generative AI in our society, but as a TOOL, doing for example the small, annoying, tasks that ask for no creativity or talent. Point Blank.
i really, REALLY hate generative AI. i find it to be a mockery of hard work and the human experience; a tool for those who just want endless âcontentâ and donât care if itâs good or not. itâs also proven to be a waste of money, as evidenced by how many billions of dollars have been poured into these projects, with lots of debt and not much profit. itâs unnecessary, and iâm looking forward to the day when the bubble bursts and AI goes the way of every other failed fad, like fidget spinners and NFTs.

Hey I still use my fidget spinner LOL
But you're right, it's for the most part an immense waste of money and electricity, but tech giants do it for fear of being "left behind" if the tech proves to be something very important in the future, they're looking in the far future for it to pay off. We have yet to see if this gamble will pay off or if it's just a fad that people will get tired of.
Generative AI for images and videos I think is never gonna replace humans because we are emotional beings, for example look at the fact people are buying vinyl records again despite it being obsolete, just because it gives you a certain emotion while using it. We're not robots, and AI art does not carry any significance to most people, since nobody made it, it doesn't inspire us. It's impressive as a novelty, but after a while people will get tired of it.
But AI as a whole is never gonna disappear now, it's there to stay, it's being used in weapons systems, medical research, governments use it for facial recognition, and many more things.
why do people hate AI, especially in generating images, music, and voiceovers?
is AI trained by real art and real videos from youtube or other platforms without author's consent?
alright so i think that AI that help you code and also talk for you is pretty cool, other than that, images, music, voiceovers, arts and stuff etc SHOULD never exist. i think AI should only be text based. especially since sora ai was created, many people was scammed. so yea.
Im Radiation-s in minecraft. yes i go with alot of names.
