Weirdly, I also love to read Forumosa, the forum for people living in Taiwan. Obviously I'm not registered as I don't plan on becoming an expat there, but for some reason I really enjoy reading the stories of people living so far away.

my brother and i went onto some forum. i think it was webkinz-related. every post was preceded by “(username) said:” and one of the users was named, no joke, “Doggy Froggy Log and Cheese”. so, he and i would read every post they made in the most silly little boy manner possible: “DOGGY FROGGY LOG AND CHEESE SAAAAAID!”

I actually considered buying one of these at some point but after some research I found out about the low quality record player that could scratch your records so I got an actual old turntable instead.
It's the same for radios you often have retro styled radios but they are actually way inferior to old radios in their build quality and performance.


there's a huge market opportunity for high quality retro designed products!! When companies do make quality radios, they don't bother advertising the better quality parts or performance! Sangean as an example seems to make good quality radios as shown at www.reddit.com/r/Sangean_Owners/comments/1mho68k/new_to_me_radio/ and www.reddit.com/r/radio/comments/1ju3o8h/help_me_buy_a_radio/

However, this listing www.amazon.com/Sangean-WR-15WL-Table-Wooden-Walnut/dp/B00U3HH2F6 only vaguely describes the quality such as "soft and precise tuning", while this one www.amazon.com/Sangean-WR-7WL-Cabinet-Bluetooth-Speaker/dp/B07CVVY2HH?th=1 does mention technical details such as "Vernier Tuning" and "automatic switching dual mode amplifier" ... technical indeed.
But at the same time, they do cost more than a common and cheap retro radio.

I've heard a story that the original inventor of the GIF said it's pronounced "jif" near the end of his life, but I have no idea if this is actually real or just some silly myth.

I searched it up, it seems it is indeed pronounced "jif" :sign_search:

It sounds silly, but my main video editor is Windows Movie Maker 6.0. It's simple enough for the kind of videos I make, and it gets the job done. Since my videos aren't anything that requires complex and rich editing, WMM is more than appropriate.

I'm hyped about it, but not interested in buying one. I spend tons of money on my PC, so I don't need something comparatively underpowered. What hypes me up is that it indicates Valve is going to go much harder into making gaming on Linux even easier than it is now. Proton is awesome now but with the Steam Machine, they will surely put more resources into it than they have already since the Steam Deck came on board.

Recently commented this message You can download the music files pretty easily, and since the admin also said something about not thinking about some people wanting to batch download the stuff. I made a mp3 for the system musics at the moment.. They said that theres around 13 GB of music aswell so expect a huge file size if I ever do the all of the albums :orange_eek: Here is the files for the system music (4GB!!) Everything is fully tagged onto one album for each system(3ds, vita, wii, and wiiu) the track list aren't 100% in order as the music player but I usually just shuffle anyway, and theres custom covers for each system(besides vita, that was the first one I did) :yellow_bouncey:

Web 2.0 Gloss
They often feature reflections under objects, glossy buttons, transparency, and skeuomorphic elements (mimicking objects of real life). It was a popular style after the rise of Windows Vista in the mid 2000s and early 2010s.

Those feature very subtle gradients, shadows, gloss, and a matte plastic feel, and it was a popular style during the transition to flat design in the mid 2010s.
