Really? Wow lmao. I'm not sure what the rainbow button does. But if I had to guess, it might be a drop down menu for the window's settings. Since on XFCE, there's an arrow button in the titlebar that lets you choose things like if a window's "always on top" or moved to another workspace. I'm not sure if Cinnamon has this feature. But I like to use it sometimes, mostly for setting stuff as "always on top."
