Jazz/Bossa Nova

Unread post by GENOSAD »

I honestly don't know why people don't mention this more often, but bossa nova is super prevalent in old Frutiger Aero designs. It's mostly with the Wii, but if you do enough digging you can find it in other places. Makes sense, since the style at the time was to make tech more "approachable," and easy listening would have done a great job at settling people in.

In other news, I've found that instrumentals for Sade's music are perfect for that summer FA vibe (even if we're in the middle of autumn right now):

I've always thought the same with bossa nova and jazz being a heavy influence in the Frutiger Aero scene. But I always like to mix it with more early 2000s pop which can derive from jazz and older music of the past from different genres. Glad I am not the only one who overlooks Jazz and Bossa being heavy in the aesthetic. :yellow_hail:
