just found this site while looking for wallpapers, this is soo cool and brings back a lot of memories, i haven't been in a actual forum for probably decades now.

I saw some other post have some cool anime characters like as a post background (not really sure how to describe it) are those images you upload yourself or is it like a theme type thing?

Hello, nice to meet you! And to get an image as a background go to edit profile, settings, then "Post background image/color & text color", post a url to the image and then hit save on your profile. Sometimes uploading the image can be a bit difficult, so this can help xatimg.com/
