I'm one of those people. If it's at all possible to run Doom, that's at the top of list. I'd imagine any game that has a software rendering mode would work well. Another one I'd suggest is Seek & Destroy from Safari Software.

If you like psycholocigal horror games, I would recomend Cry of Fear. It is free to play and has an awesome story and eerie ambience.

Don't know how mainstream it is, but my go-to for VMs is always the Petz series. Yeah, I know I can run the games on my modern computer just fine. But it's still fun to have them around on older operating systems
