i was watching this guy install windows vista on linux and then in the middle he was having trouble so he used chatgpt
which fine whatever
but then he bragged about how wrong people are about the inaccuracy of chatgpt just because it got this 1 thing right and i was like

i agree but i think there's a misunderstanding here. the guy was actually installing windows vista, not a desktop theme. i only mentioned he was on linux because i feel like the main appeal of linux is that it's more private, so it's weird to use chatgpt for things you can just look up or ask around about. since chatgpt and other large ai companies have been known to sell data.

that's fair. i'll admit i've been tired of hearing about it too. so i might just mute the word on freetube honestly. but it'll occasionally show up in tech videos that have almost nothing to do with ai. since it's the new big thing(tm). it's happened to me twice now. so i kinda wanted to vent.
