frutiger aero was made by corporates and was used in many advertising campaign back then, it was a theme mainly recgonized because of Windows, Mostly window 7 and window 8 and also the window XP Background. It is not a single theme as its own, its actually a umbrella term for more themes such as frutiger metro, frutiger aqua etc.

Frutiger Aero is an aesthetic which is used by corporations during mid 2000s-early 2010s. It's prominent features are skeuo-morphism, glossy textures and natural imagery. It's a futurist trend which is about combination of technology and nature, it's about a future we were promised...
As different from Y2K Futurism, Frutiger Aero doesn't contain metallic imagery and isn't from 90s/early 2000s.
