My Thoughts on Web 3.0

I think there's a lot of bad things about web 3.0. It's obvious to everyone here I'm sure. The corporate influence over the internet became more & more front and center. You also had to deal with rich CEOs hyping up things like NFTs and now AI. There's also the controversial minimalist aesthetic. But I don't think web 3.0 is completely bad. It also allowed for smaller platforms like the fediverse that try to bridge the gap between the centralized internet and the decentralized one. I don't use the fediverse that much & deleted my Mastodon. However I still use Peertube and Funkwhale occasionally.

yeah i hate AI too. i've even seen it creep into niche phpbb forums. fortunately i've managed to avoid it on youtube, but that might only be because i watch it over 3rd party apps like freetube and tubular (based on newpipe)
