I would say as far back as 2013, this is when I started notice bad changes on the internet, starting with Google+ being forced on users of YouTube, then copyright started getting worse with automated Content ID claims. Compared to the AI-pocalpyse of today it's nothing but this is when it started ...

More simple, less subscription and paid extras. Everything came in full back then instead of in bits. Games released back then were final product and were polished crisp and clean unlike now where there are issues and bugs riddled across the game upon release and the acceptance to roll out game ...

it was a time when technology was something fun, not a place where people doom into echo rooms. And since technologies such as smartphones didn't existed yet, people weren't addicted to internet. There was a balance between digital and real life, now digital life is the dominant one.
