my website/blog on my homelab

A while ago i decided to pull out a spare raspberry pi i had sitting inside a drawer for a long time. And since everyone has one now, i decided to turn it into my personal webserver/homelab.
It ran YunoHost first on a old 120GB Sata SSD, and had my nextcloud hosted on it. But when i wanted to host my actual website on it, it didnt work the way i wanted it to work. So i bought myself a Samsung T7 SSD, put debian 12 on it, and a nifty open-source software package called HestiaCP.
It supported NextCloud, as well as hosting my website.
So fast forward when i my host contacted me about my resource usage on my main hosting account, where i decided to start a forum.
And than i thought why not move my weblog, and linkdump over to my homelab, which was sitting virtually dormant.
I did. So with that i introduce my website on my homelab:
https://loebas.boykisser.nl
It is made using serif WebPlus, and my blog is powered by flatpress (its very lightweight, and uses no database to store things)
The linkdump is powered by shaarli, and is also running on my homelab.

That's cool, this forum is hosted on a VPS because I didn't want the risks associated with hosting it at home such as electricity going down shutting everything down (Also, I don't leave electricity on when I go on vacation), bandwidth limits and other security reasons. But maybe someday.
Anyways I like your posts on that forum, pretty good information.

Your site looks cool and I think the fact you self-host is cool too.

I decided to only self-host over I2P & keep my clearnet site on neocities for similar reasons. Not only does I2P keep my IP address safe, by assigning my computer an I2P "router" address instead of my actual IP, but also I can't keep my website up all the time. It's not just me shutting off my computer to not waste energy. I also have problems where my internet shuts off at around 12 am, sometimes earlier sometimes a bit later.

I'm seriously thinking about a VPS for these things. In the future i want to move my website over to one, and use my pi soley for Nextcloud.
So a VPS is something that will happen in the future since i know how to reproduce a HestaCP installation.
About poweroutages, here in the Netherlands they are extremely rare. Had one last year which lasted 8 minutes, and that exceptionally long over here.
IP wise i know it is tricky, but i have blacklisted some problematic ISP's in my firewall (saw a lot of SSH break in attempts from Digital Ocean, and Viettel Group. Of which i blocked SSH access.)
I've heard about I2P, maybe in the future. I want my website to be reachable by everyone.
My internet connection stays on 24/7. I even pay for it, although i share it with my neighbor, but she is behind her own router.
