I enabled file attachments for images & audio files, limited to 1MiB for now.
For images it will generate thumbnails automatically, so you can click them to view full size.

Press on "Attachments" next to Options when you are writing a post to add one.
You can also press on "Place inline" to use it as a regular image anywhere in your post.

Also refresh your cache if you're on the longhorn theme, I fixed the white background issue.

I was gonna try this out with some videos I have saved, but apparently, it doesn't allow for video files and is limited to 1 mb.

Yeah I mean, if I allowed that my server would run out of space very quickly considering how big those are.

means even if some image host would go down, some of this forum's images would stay anyway!

no it's not mine. it's just a meme i see posted on the indie web sometimes. so i assume it's ok to share
