Memory of a strange game

Years ago, when I was still a kid, I recall playing some sort of game with my parents on our PC and soon dropping it after not being able to figure out what to do. Need help potentially figuring what that game even was, as from what I can remember one of the reasons why we dropped it was because all the text was in a language none of us understood (For some reason I feel like it could've been japanese or a language similiar to it, but I had zero knowledge of any language other than the one I was born with back when I played it)
What I recall of that game is that the gameplay consisted of you walking through a long path with forest on both sides and blue-ish fog in the distance and the 3D graphics looked rather poor. You were able to turn left and right, aswell as move forward. Following the path resulted in you reaching a house, upon entering which the 3D panel of the screen is replaced with a static image of brightly lit house interior which for some reason (be it time or pressing something?) changing into a blue shifted version, like night time. Also, before reaching the house, I recall if you turned LEFT into the woods, you could stumble upon some props that looked like a graveyard? Not sure.
In addition, the game screen consisted of I think 4 windows in a grid, with the top left one being the player view and all other ones having text that I could not understand. The artstyle of these windows were fancy with an old paper background of each window that isn't the player view.
That's all I can really recall of my experience with whatever this game was. Sorry if the details and writing are messy, this was AGES (Definetly sometime after 2004, but the game could be from before then) ago and I'm not the greatest writer, so.
I'm suspecting we could've gotten it from some sort of Ukrainian file sharing website, as that's where I lived at the time and my dad frequently used to download games from, but that's just a theory.
