What video editor do you use?

I am a migrate..
1. From 2020-2023, I used Windows Live Movie Maker 2009. God, did it suck. But it was free and easy so I stuck with it.. ah. How innocent i was before i became a PIRATE!
2. Then my Dad got an iMac, 2017, running macOS 12. I decided to install iMovie on it for video editing. God, was it awesome. So much more features then Live Movie Maker and the iOS version of iMovie.
3. I got a little bit tired with iMovie's lag and limitations so I decided to switch to OpenShot Video Editor yesterday. Yesterday was a big day in terms of tech. I got a microphone, an audio recording app, LittleBigPlanet 2 and a new video editor.
4. I plan to use Corel VideoStudio X8 when I get a Windows 7 laptop later in the year.

Used to have sony vegas, but switched to Blender to do some rare video editing sometimes, mainly because it's free.

I use ApowerEdit (perpetual license) and Windows Movie Maker.

I just use Blender VSE. As a Blender user it was easy to grasp and use. But it does miss some features, I tried OpenShot because of this, but the lag was extreme, since it just didn't support my GPU. Blender is laggy but not hard-to-use laggy. I also recently checked out Kdenlive, but it was way too confusing, then Olive, which I figured out how to compress videos to make them look low quality. Still sticking to Blender.

It probably depends on what kind of videos you're trying to make. I just use an older version of CapCut (The newer ones are basically unusable unless you pay for their monthly subscription ð), but I only make speedpaints so I don't need anything super fancy (Just need to be able to speed up footage and add transitions, pictures, and music)

I myself started with a cracked version of Filmora, but a few years ago when I was on my foss phase I discovered Kdenlive and it's quite good tbh. I'm also thinking of trying DaVinci Resolve but I've been too lazy to.

capcut, honestly. but i was thinking of switching to a different software someday, like lumafusion
i tried using filmora for a time. awful experience. itâs clear that theyâre more focused on advertising their AI tools rather than making a functional video editing software

They also made ps5, and made games 70 dollars. so ummmh
