I think that everything of OS X Lion and Mountain Lion is just gorgeous from the wallpaper, to the icons, to the useability. Mavericks was the weird point where most of the skeuomorphism was gone, such as the leather in iCal, and was replaced with medal.Screenshot of Mountain Lion

When I got my first desktop computer around 2011, it was an iMac with OS X Lion installed (btw, I gave it to my father who still uses it to this day). Absolutely loved it, especially the galaxy wallpaper.

That was the real Apple in my opinion. I love those old Mac OS versions, they feel so nice and the design was amazing. I really loved the dock/taskbar and I hope Apple makes something like this again. I made the desktop on my laptop look like Mac OS Leopard!

I tried to do the same thing on my laptop, but I could never get it to work with Kubuntu.

Originally I was going to run macOS Mountain Lion on a Macbook Pro from 2011 for school but I've decided to go with a Vaio or HP Pavilion since they read Blu-Ray. I really do love Apple's innovation and UI style, at least before 2013.
