i was watching this guy install windows vista on linux and then in the middle he was having trouble so he used chatgpt
which fine whatever
but then he bragged about how wrong people are about the inaccuracy of chatgpt just because it got this 1 thing right and i was like

fr like what side are u on bro,are u aganist the machine or do you use computer normaly what the fuck???????? And using chatgpt is ironic esp for custom UI themes trust me one mistake and thatll make ur pc kaboom

i agree but i think there's a misunderstanding here. the guy was actually installing windows vista, not a desktop theme. i only mentioned he was on linux because i feel like the main appeal of linux is that it's more private, so it's weird to use chatgpt for things you can just look up or ask around about. since chatgpt and other large ai companies have been known to sell data.

gng my bad for misunderstanding sometimes i misread words and they get randomized in my mind,anyways what makes it even weirder is that the guy didnt even bother asking reddit peeps on r/linux or whatever but used mimicry ass looking machine (chatgpt) bro does not know his data is being stolen

look… we don’t like gen AI, but honestly, i’m tired of talking and thinking about it. i don’t want to complain about it anymore, i just want it to go away

that's fair. i'll admit i've been tired of hearing about it too. so i might just mute the word on freetube honestly. but it'll occasionally show up in tech videos that have almost nothing to do with ai. since it's the new big thing(tm). it's happened to me twice now. so i kinda wanted to vent.
