I haven't heard that myself but I really do hope so. Yes Europe got an one-year extension www.windowscentral.com/microsoft/windows-10/will-microsofts-free-esu-program-for-windows-10-in-europe-create-a-global-precedent , but nothing for non EU Windows 10 copies
But that's still only one year, better than nothing but I'm very surprised Microsoft will not give free security updates for some years after the end of support, like they did with XP and 7 for example. What a lack of respect for consumers

Windows 10 is now giving you the option of enrolling into extended security updates.
This will only work if you're in the EU. So if you're not change, your settings to Ireland or something.
