I have a mixed opinion on AI, honestly.

I'm fine with text based stuff like programming, but images and music (used in a serious context, memes is fine imo) it's honestly bad since it feels like bad slop

Back in late 2023, I tended to have an optimistic view about a lot of stuff. Yes, this included AI. I never liked AI Images, but I hoped that some forms of gen AI must have had at least ONE good use out of it, despite the fact I haven't used it often at all :P. By 2024, I started to dislike gen AI due to its unreliability and the fact that my comp sci teacher made us use it to try and vibe code a comically broken chess game in one class period, and the fact that it just shoved garbage in the internet. Now, I use uBlock to block out any AI summaries or other AI features on stuff like YouTube.

I'm not big on ai seeing as its stealing art made by humans

Tbh, I felt as if ai had lots of potential. But ai is only stealing human creativity which I hate. Instead of ai helping with stuff most humans don't want like chores, it makes stuff like ai "art"(art can considered writing, drawings, videos, music, etc.)

(rant be warned) my distaste goes far beyond hatred. ai was promised to be a wonder for the medical field, it would recognize cancer cells etc etc, for now it's just been a waste of time.
ai is doomed to eat itself and become worse the longer it exists because it will start to train itself off its own data.
right now ai to my knowledge is being used for almost nothing actually useful and is just taking jobs that people need. not to mention with the current hardware shortage it's doomed to cause tons and tons of ewaste every year all while making life for you me and everyone else way more expensive, not to mention rising electricity costs due to ai farms.
i hate ai and the people that push it down our throat, it infests literally every aspect of our lives, comments,content, our base os on every device we have unless you use linux, nothing is safe from ai it's infuriating.
the most obvious of this that most people recognize is art. the death of being able to browse any website and not just be BOMBARDED by ai trash at first it was a novel concept and within a week it got old within a month i got utterly sick of it now, 2 years later i am exhausted, exhausted of all computer hardware going up in price, exhausted of booting up my computer and seeing ai shit appear noone asked for, exhausted of checking my phone and seeing new ai features literally noone asked for, exhausted of seeing news articles about how ai has ruined people lives. I'm exhausted.

tldr ai blows and has done nothing but harm humanity with the only net positive being the rich assholes who's pockets are being lined while suffering none of the fallout like usual. and im sick of it
