What is the story behind your username?

I just pick usernames for accounts based on random memories I have. Beavis told Butt-head "You don't have a family, bumhug!" in the Christmas special "Beavis & Butt-head Do Christmas".

i named my home folder "poptart" one time when testing out linux on my desktop

now i make all of my linux installs poptart on my main pc, and thought it would be a cool name to get on this site so i went for it. i dont use it anywhere else though

we used to mainly go by laserdiscjockey everywhere, it was a username someone else came up with. combined our interest in old tech (laserdisc) and music (discjockey). then we figured out we were plural and we were like "ahhh damn well now we gotta come up with a collective name" and we stuck "laserdiscjockey" together with our music project "dreamcast society" to make Laserdream. thought it was a cool enough name to start using everywhere

In all honesty, The username for this site is basically my initials but cooler. Kind of sound edgy now that I look at it, but I'm the furthest from that lol.

Though Macro came from an older Username I don't go by anymore, that came from an old acronym MDS, which was because I really liked the nintendo DS :3.

Nemesis is because it sounds cool.

my username is {Silly_Person} cus my friends call me a silly person ALL the time so I thought that would be a great idea for a username. I also use {Silly_Alien} cus I love space and aliens

The story behind my user-name is the fact that I have a lot of different kinds of cables stored in my room (USB cables, A/V cords, chargers you name it.) I have a lot of electronic stuff in my room (a VCR, a DTV decoder, a DVD player, 3 PCs, 3 home consoles and 3 portable ones, 2 camcorders) so of course I'm bound to gather a lot of cables and wires
Before that I used to go by Vance_Croowa08 and later just Vance08, but now I mostly use that as a pseudonym.

ive had various usernames, but the one i have now has stuck around for a good amount of years now - pooky, pooks, pocketpooks, etc. pooky was my nickname as a very little kid, and i have that stuffed bear from garfield named pooky. pooks just seemed a cute variation that i hadn't seen anyone else use, so i went for it.

ive also gone by komorebii-, bignerdd[d], mossboxes, and probably some other stuff, but none of those really stuck and felt like me the same way pooks has.

since cool stuff is usually trends expect for the word, i call myself coolepicname so i wont think my name is bad in the near future.

I like Michael Haneke's movies, as depressing and gut-wrenching as many of them are, and thought the term that was applied to his first three theatrical releases ("a trilogy depicting a coldly bureaucratic society in which genuine human relationships have been supplanted by a deep-seated collective malaise" as per Criterion; sound familiar? LOL) sounded cool as a username.

Long ago, my username was MiiroHUE. It was just a name that I typed and thought it was good. After a while, I discovered that Miiro was a opening music from a very peculiar anime. Then, I changed to Bitmellow, but it doesn't had any story behind, just another name that I typed and thought it was better than MiiroHUE, at least sounded better. There was a friend of mine that used a username called Marshmellow, so maybe it was something to pay tribute for. Then, I remember watching a brazilian artist girl on TikTok that used the username of Orangesoday. That sounded very nice and I got inspired by that, the idea behind my current username is "my favorite color [the] my nickname". My first name is Wellington, so well, Orange is my favorite color: Orangethewell. It's silly if I think a lot about it
