Fri Nov 14, 2025 1:59 pm Cookie☆ remix of J-E-N-O-V-A Fri Nov 14, 2025 1:59 pm Cookie☆ remix of J-E-N-O-V-A
Ok there are several things of context to explain so if you're just here for the song here you go:
https://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm25026866
Now for the Context:
Final Fantasy 7: (SPOILERS!)
J-E-N-O-V-A is the name of the track that plays during the boss fight with JENOVA in Final Fantasy 7 (PS1). Jenova is basically this weird alien creature girl thing that landed on earth many many years ago when the ancients were still around and a company called SHINRA now harvest her cells and infuse them into clones to make really powerful soldiers Like Cloud, Zach, Sephiroth, and others.
TouHou (Cookie☆):
So TouHou is a series of Japanese Danmaku (Bullet Hell) games developed by ZUN, that originally came out for the NEC PC-9800 series of computers (TouHou 1-5), and then on to Windows (6-the newest ones). There are many different memes about this in the community, with a large chunk of it being Cookie☆ which comes from a mega collaborative fan-made video on Nico Nico roughly translating to "TouHou Mega Collaboration: Marisa's Cookie Kiss". So anytime you see any mention of Cookie☆, it's very likely a reference to this. - 1 Been thanked

Welcome to the forum! No worries that you're new, we're friendly here.
As for my plans, I have quite big ones in mind. Next year I wanna try to build a retro PC (which will also be my first ever expirince with PC building). I figured out despite how used I am to Win7 I will make it Windows Vista, since I think it's a seriously underrated and overhated OS, and also because making it usable in 2025/26 seems like a greater and more exciting challenge.
As someone who runs a Windows Vista virtual machine in 2025, I can say there's less app support than Windows 7, but it looks just awesome. Personally Vista is my favorite Windows OS. - 1 Been thanked

Interstella 5555, Kiki's Delivery Service, Moomin. I also like what I've seen of Bocchi the Rock, and the vibes of waking up at 3 am to the middle of Galaxy Express 999 or Captain Harlock are unmatched - 1 Been thanked

Fri Dec 12, 2025 4:34 am Re: If I started a Frutiger Aero themed Cafe, Would you go? Fri Dec 12, 2025 4:34 am Re: If I started a Frutiger Aero themed Cafe, Would you go?
Depends. What food would be there? (Aero chocolate ?) How much would it cost? How accurate would it be to the aesthetic? What music? If there's Takeshi Abo and Vita music at the cafe then yes
And let's hypothetically pretend this cafe is in every single country that us forum members live in.
Ooo I see I see. Well really depends on what would be frutiger aero, but probably mostly gelatinous deserts, cakes or possibly if you tried to make it like a restaurant you could use things like fish and all that like what someone mentioned in this forum. I think it would be a funny and clever idea to include Aero chocolate to the menu as well, a simple chocolate bar but seems fitting in the idea of frutiger aero.
Well depends on the economy, but would try to serve the stuff at the lowest price possible while still maintaining enough profit to keep the place going.
I would aim to try make it as close to the aesthetic as possible, within the confines of the cafe of course. I can't really control what goes on outside. But could have a possibility of including different areas within the cafe if it got popular enough to fit in different subgenres to suit everyone's taste.
Music would most definitely have Takeshi Abo and most notably the song LEASE, I had been developing my own playlist of fa songs which I could assume would be played in this fictional cafe. I am actually not too sure about vita music, never really heard of it. Is it a genre or specific song of music? Would be keen to give it a listen. I reckon I could include small bits of early 2000s pop songs or electronic house music, nothing hardcore because I do know the realm of frutiger aero music is pretty limited so it would be looping the same songs in no time.
Vita music is music in the PlayStation Vita UI.
And aero chocolate actually exists in Australia! Coincidentally the logo is glossy and it's meant to taste bubbly. - 1 Been thanked

Mon Dec 22, 2025 10:39 pm Re: So I Bought A new NVME to Switch to Linux Mon Dec 22, 2025 10:39 pm Re: So I Bought A new NVME to Switch to Linux
So new update to this. My original idea was not going to work. I was correct that rEFInd did detect the windows install from the enclosure, but I got "boot device is inaccessible" I tried it with both the USB-C and USB-A and they both failed too boot. All I've done for now is change which drives go where to make the upgrade easier when I end up doing it.
So the current plan is to have the enclosure be the scratch disk for now since the usb is 10 Gbps so should be more than fast even with possible bottlenecks from the motherboard (hopefully.) Slowly over time next year, I'll slowly start grabbing parts for dedicated windows machine running slightly older hardware. I'll be upgrading the main pc. Thinking of getting a Ryzen 5 5600 first and grab what I need from there with each paycheck  . Probably won't fully commit until March. - 1 Been thanked

Fri Dec 05, 2025 5:21 am Mp3/flacs for the system music on music player. Fri Dec 05, 2025 5:21 am Mp3/flacs for the system music on music player.
Recently commented this message You can download the music files pretty easily, and since the admin also said something about not thinking about some people wanting to batch download the stuff. I made a mp3 for the system musics at the moment.. They said that theres around 13 GB of music aswell so expect a huge file size if I ever do the all of the albums :orange_eek: Here is the files for the system music (4GB!!) Everything is fully tagged onto one album for each system(3ds, vita, wii, and wiiu) the track list aren't 100% in order as the music player but I usually just shuffle anyway, and theres custom covers for each system(besides vita, that was the first one I did) :yellow_bouncey:
