I'm gonna work on the Longhorn theme to make it look more polished, I already changed the font sizes to be smaller, as they were huge previously which looked bad. I also removed border-radius on most elements.

I'm also choosing to disable the Sidebar plugin for now, as I think it makes the theme feel less clean overall and it also had some loading issues on Firefox for me. Unlike on proboards I don't have any difficulties navigating the forum (where a sidebar was way more useful in my opinion).

Remember to refresh your cache by pressing Shift + CTRL + R if you're on PC to see the changes.
Let me know if I missed anything or any feedback to make it look better.

I'll prob get back to it tomorrow as it is currently 5AM.

Hey there! My name is MacroNemesis, or Macro for short. :yellow_biggrin:
My interests tend to go sway on my current mood, but I'm largely into gaming, various computer and tech subjects (trying getting back into linux as an example), video making, and sometimes even a bit of drawing. Recently picked up DND too, which my current PFP is of my character, Sandy.

Some of my favoriate media properties include:
- Pokemon
- Elder Scrolls
- Kenshi
- Cult of the Lamb
- Sims 2/3 sims era
- and more I can't think of right now

There's a variety of aesthetics I enjoy namely frutiger areo/metro, Y2K, and Dorfic to name a few. Largely due to growing up in the 2000s, and watching that era's version of YTV and Teletoon (RIP). I try to mimic some of that when I do art or osme kind of personal design work.

My motivation for joining the forum (along with a handful of others), is to break way from social media a bit. Mostly to break away from the endless doomscrolling that I've had a bad habit of doing this year. Good for content consumption, not so much for connections or peace of mind. Forums are more niche, and community focused and are at a MUCH slower pace compared to any social media or messaging platform.

I don't know how active I'll be, but I wanted to hang around here for a bit. The 2010's vibe here is peak! :yellow_bouncey:

i have to say, i don’t agree. the first excuse sounds incredibly ableist (what do you mean, disabled people can’t make good art without AI?); the second one is a nothingburger, because no, photography has never replaced painting, nor will AI replace either painting or photography. i’ve never met a photographer who looks down on painters, but i HAVE met AI bros who look down on artists

Me personally, I feel like that Liquid Glass is just Newmorphism with some glassy-like reflections. I'm really not a fan of it, mostly because it's too transparent.


I'm not sure if it's only me but I love the transparency and fluid glass design and I think it is really cool compared to what we had before. :orange_biggrin:

Unpopular opinion but I am so fucking tired of Lease. I like the original Aquatic Ambience (like, the actual track from the game) but by god is this one starting to get on my nerves too. neither are inherently bad songs but it feels like they're the "obvious choices" in every playlist to the point of becoming irksome

To say I despise generative A"I" with every particle of my body would perhaps be the biggest understatement of the year. It has already started to make people lazy and make the world less human by making it so that people don't have to think with their own brains, it has no real value to our society and exists for no other reason than to fatten the pockets of big tech billionaires, and people have the audacity to call images generated with it "art" (which offends me to no end as an artist myself). I've hated it since 2023 and my hatred of it only grows stronger by the day. :sign_swear:

On a related note, I'm not a fan of those stupid little robotaxis I've been seeing around town this past year or so either and swear on my life that I will never hop into a car that doesn't have an actual person behind its wheel.
