Firefox is good. It's more lightweight than Chrome and unlike modern Chrome, has full adblock support.
You can also install Geckium to make it or other browsers based on it look like older versions of chrome.
There's also tab containers which are useful if you wanna separate site cookies or stay logged into 2 different accounts at the same time.
However Firefox's recently started integrating "AI" into the browser, among other things.
So I use Librewolf as my primary browser. But since DRM is diabled & "resist fingerprinting" enabled by default in Librewolf, I still use Firefox for certain things. If the AI stuff is a deal breaker for you, I'd recommend looking into Waterfox. Waterfox is based on Firefox ESR & I don't think as many websites break in it as Librewolf.
I'd also like to add that it's probably better to use another browser for google websites or even a separate app if you care about speed & are gonna use Firefox or a browser based on it as your primary. There's chromium browsers that are more privacy-respecting than Chrome like Ungoogled Chromium or Brave. I personally just watch youtube, using the program Freetube, since it has sponsorship block, adblock, and saves your subscriptions/history/playlists locally on your device.

Windows Phone failed because Microsoft made it hard for phone manufacturers to cooperate with them, by imposing more control over the hardware user experience than Google, which meant that nobody wanted to partner with them to produce their phones and their app store became an empty wasteland so nobody wanted to use it.

In another universe where Microsoft took better decisions, such as releasing their phone earlier than 2010 and being more easy to work with, the Windows Phone would still be around, maybe it would even have taken Android's place in the duopoly.

My favourite game of all time is Chicory: A Colorful Tale , it's such a love letter to artists and it means so much to me. Wandersong , a game by the same dev, is also extremely important to me, to the point that i ended up using the name Bard because of it. i recommend both heavily if you want some new indie games to play.

However before i played either of those, LittleBigPlanet 2 was my #1 game. LBP is no doubt the most important series in my life for MANYYYY reasons, it fundamentally shaped who I am and is why I do what I do. It's been in my life as long as I remember. To be honest, I think it just transcends being a favourite game at this point, it is so much more to me and if I were to explain why, i would have to write like a 1000 page essay haha.

Absolute invasion of privacy, never give your real face to anyone or any service on the internet, you don't know when they're gonna get hacked and your info will be leaked ( which has happened before ).

Also to my understanding, they say they delete your picture right after taking it (gotta trust them for that ig?), and use an AI to estimate your age. In this case you don't even need to show your real face, just show some video game character, or something.

i actually have a dell dimension (with even more stickers :blue_wink: ) but i’m using the monitor, keyboard and mouse of my even older windows 98 gateway from childhood. the win98 computer itself is REALLY showing its age, but its accessories are still good to this day

For those who don't know, Conky are a type of widget/gadget script for linux. I found out about Conky Manager v2. So that made the process of starting them up easier. I can't the pseudo-transparent setting to work (pseudo-transparent makes only the background transparent but not the rest of the image). But I'm gonna blame that on how compositing works on XFCE. I also am having trouble configuring the weather conkies.
