thanks! lowk a bit silly but idk how to show that i respect my parents tbh and i feel pre bad ab it I very much respect what they say and theyve raised me to be who i am today, but for example; they asked me to wake up at 10:30 am on this last weekend but i slept through both my alarms and woke up late while they were at work, yet i've never missed an alarm for school. ever. The way that theyre taking it is that i dont respect what they say when it has something to do in terms of what they ask of me yet I have no problem doing things when it affects me directly. Thats just an example of the whole issue, but i've been trying to figure out how to change so they dont think im only worrying about myself. I know this is silly to ask considering my age, but i really am out of ideas smh

I've tried several times, but the timing makes it seem as though im only doing it to save face and i can tell they dont think im being honest about it

try writing a well thought out letter explaining why ur sorry and leave it where they can get to it when they feel like it ?

i think sometimes parents get so focused on having their kids grow up to be responsible they forget they're still just kids & do stupid things without thinking. i say try and prove it through your actions if they don't believe your words. show them that you will be more responsible next time
